Portland, OR - Alpha Broadcasting has named Donna Heffner as the Chief Financial Officer.  The announcement, made by Chairman/CEO Larry Wilson and President/COO Bob Proffitt is effective immediately.  Heffner will oversee the Business and Traffic Departments of the newly formed entity that includes KXL-AM, KXTG-FM, KCMD-AM, KUPL-FM, KUFO-FM and KINK-FM.

Heffner started as the Controller for Citadel in 1988 when the company owned 3 radio stations in 2 markets and was promoted to CFO in 1992.  During her tenure, she saw the company grow to 205 stations in 42 markets.  After departing Citadel, she took time off to raise children, play with her dogs and pursue other interests in Las Vegas.  Most recently Heffner was the CFO at Frontier Broadcast Holdings, a privately held broadcast company headquartered in Los Angeles.

"Donna is top notch in her field and was one of the original members of the Citadel team," commented Proffitt.  "She has the depth of experience and background to create, organize and manage the best Traffic and Business Department in the industry.  We are absolutely thrilled to be working with her again."

Alpha Broadcasting, headquartered in Portland, Oregon was formed by Wilson, Proffitt and Endeavour Capital, also in Portland.  Wilson founded Citadel Communications Corporation, before it was sold to Forstmann Little & Company in 2001 for $2 billion.
